WRAP have produced the <a href="http://www.wrap.org.uk/sustainable-textiles/scap/extending-clothing-life/guides/sustainable-clothing-guide"> Sustainable Clothing Guide</a> to help with this. </p> <p>Until recently, bag company <a href="http://www.freitag.ch/about/production" target="_blank">Freitag</a> offered a 'design a bag' feature on their website, allowing customers to choose their own materials and design layout, thus creating a strong bond between the user and the product.</p>

Body Text: <p>Considering the product's disassembly strategy at the design stage is essential to facilitate efficient disassembly in order to re-use, re-manufacture or recycle materials and components at the end of the product's first life.</p> <p>Dutch companies <a href="https://en.refinity.eu/raincoat.html">ecouterre</a> in collaboration with Dutchspirit have designed a conceptual raincoat that is easy to disassemble, with a particular focus on easy disassembly for components; the outer material is stitched instead of glued to the lining, while 'click-able' closures replace traditional velcro, zips or buttons.</p>

Body Text: <p>Mono-material design is an important step in facilitating disassembly and material re-use, as one of the major obstacles for re-using and recycling materials from post-consumer clothing is that most products are made from more than one material. </p> <p>Jungeun Lee's concept collection 'Wrapped Garments' utilises a synthetic yarn moulding process, creating the entire garment from one material.</p> <p>At the end of its first life, the garment could therefore potentially be disassembled in one process.</p>
