Disassembly strategy

Considering the product's disassembly strategy at the design stage is essential to facilitate efficient disassembly in order to re-use, re-manufacture or recycle materials and components at the end of the product's first life.

Dutch companies ecouterre in collaboration with Dutchspirit have designed a conceptual raincoat that is easy to disassemble, with a particular focus on easy disassembly for components; the outer material is stitched instead of glued to the lining, while 'click-able' closures replace traditional velcro, zips or buttons.
