Communication-enabling QR codes have caught the imagination of designers and have moved on from basic printed logos to a wide range of tactile textiles.

Thorunn Arnadottir's self-promoting dress is composed of various QR codes, made with Swarowski crystal beads, which when scanned with a QR reader on a mobile phone, link to different promotional materials online.
