Customisation including individual fit and preference is a key strategy for producing garments that the consumer wants to keep for a long time but is generally considered an expensive luxury.
Body scanning technologies will play a pivotal role in enabling retailers to provide commercially viable mass customisation by collecting 3-D data for individual consumers, as consumer focus and demand shifts to individual sizing and design features.
