DuPont Sorona® is a partially bio based polymer (37%) derived from annually renewable plant sugar and oil based TPA.
A life cycle assessment published by DuPont indicates that the production of DuPont Sorona® fibres has a 60% lower carbon footprint than nylon 6,6, an alternative polymer [1,2].*
